Educator Preparation Program

University of Northern Colorado

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

We have 3 tracks in our BSN program, 1) a traditional undergraduate degree, 2) a second bachelor’s BSN, and 3) a RN-BSN completion program for students who are completing or have completed an associate’s degree in nursing. The traditional and 2nd Bachelor’s BSN degree program provides didactic and clinical education experiences required for licensure as an RN and a bachelor’s degree in nursing, including, but not limited to, experiences in long-term and subacute care, acute and critical adult and pediatric care, perioperative, maternal/newborn and obstetrics, community and public health, including school nursing, and psychiatric and mental health settings. The RN-BSN track has didactic and practical experiences in community and public health and leadership building on students’ associate degree education and RN experience. Our program educates graduates to provide safe, quality nursing care in many settings with patients, families, communities and populations across the lifespan.
